Hogshare respects intellectual property and expects users to do the same. This page explains how takedowns work and how to file or contest one.

Filing a takedown notice

Send a notice through the contact page (topic: report abuse) including: the copyrighted work, the exact Hogshare link or product page, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

Valid notices lead to prompt removal or disabling of the content, a platform-wide block of the file hash where appropriate, and notification of the user who posted it. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice with the removed material, its prior location, your contact details, consent to jurisdiction, and a statement under penalty of perjury. Unless the claimant files a court action within the statutory window, we may restore the content.

Misuse of this process

Knowingly false takedown claims carry legal liability. We may ignore or push back on notices that are abusive, incomplete, or plainly wrong, and we credit good-faith counter-parties either way.
